LEAD TRAINER / SPEED + AGILITY COACH
Unla Husseini
Unla Husseini brings a strong blend of playing experience, coaching leadership, and athletic development expertise to Wheaton Legacy Soccer Academy as a Lead Trainer and Speed & Agility Coach. A Wheaton native, Unla developed locally through Sockers FC, competing at a high level during his youth career. He played varsity soccer at Wheaton Warrenville South, where he earned All-Conference honors and helped lead his teams to two Wheaton Cup championships. He now gives back to his alma mater having key coaching roles in both the boys and girls soccer programs, continuing his commitment to developing players within the Wheaton community.
His collegiate playing career includes time at the University of Dubuque before transferring to Olivet Nazarene University, where he played for three seasons. During his time at ONU, he was part of teams that captured two CCAC Conference Championships and two CCAC Conference Tournament Championships, gaining valuable experience in competitive collegiate environments. At Wheaton Legacy, Unla leads personal training sessions with a strong emphasis on speed, agility, movement mechanics, and overall athletic performance. His training helps players become more explosive, efficient, and confident athletes by focusing on proper technique, coordination, acceleration, change of direction, and game-specific movement patterns.


LEAD GOALKEEPER COACH
Mason Escalante
Mason Escalante is a former NCAA standout and established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in Division III during his career at Wheaton College. He became the first goalkeeper in program history to earn CCIW Goalkeeper of the Year twice (2023, 2024) and served as a two-year team captain, leading Wheaton to its first regular-season conference championship since 2015. His leadership, technical sharpness, and poise under pressure set the foundation for his coaching approach. Following his collegiate career, Mason joined the Wheaton College coaching staff as Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach. In his first season on staff, Wheaton produced yet another CCIW Goalkeeper of the Year, and the coaching staff earned CCIW Coaching Staff of the Year honors, solidifying Masons impact at the collegiate level. Mason oversees all goalkeeper development, offering high-level training rooted in technical excellence and game intelligence. His sessions emphasize shot-stopping, distribution, footwork, positioning, decision-making, and match-readiness. Masons calm presence, elite understanding of the position, and passion for teaching help goalkeepers become confident, commanding leaders who thrive in high-pressure moments and elevate the teams around them.

- 53 total games played, starting in 50 total matches

- United Soccer Coaches All-American
- Colorado Player of the Year (two major awards)

- Gatorade Player of the Year Finalist


Ashur Eshw
Collegiate (Wheaton College):
- Played and started all 18 matches, logging over 1,000 minutes.
- CCIW Regular Season Conference Champion
Collegiate (Eastern Illinois):
- Appeared in 33 Division 1 matches as a Freshman and Sophomore.
Club (Chicago FC United):
- Helped lead Chicago FC United to the National Presidents Cup Finals (2021) and earned Best of the 11 honors among all finalists.
- Selected for both the Illinois ODP State Team and the Midwest ODP Pool Team.


Beck Aamot
Collegiate (Wheaton College):
- 2x CCIW Regular Season Conference Champion
Club/High School (Massachusetts):
- Four-year varsity starter, nine-year club starter, two years of ODP experience, two-time Varsity MVP


Patton Johnson
