OUR STORY
Wheaton Legacy Soccer Academy was built on a lifelong friendship, a shared love for the game, and a deep desire to give back to the community that shaped us.

How Wheaton Legacy Started
Dan and Logan first became teammates as freshmen at Wheaton Academy. From the very beginning, they shared the same journey starting together on JV, earning varsity spots as sophomores, and growing side by side throughout their four years at WA. Every summer, they trained together, ran fitness sessions together, and pushed each other to prepare for the upcoming season. Soccer wasnt just something they played; it was the foundation of their friendship and their daily lives.
As their careers progressed, both Dan and Logan went on to become collegiate athletes. Even then, nothing changed. Every offseason, they found themselves back in Wheaton, training together once again, building their own workouts, creating partner training sessions, and holding each other accountable as they prepared for the next level. Without realizing it at the time, they were laying the groundwork for what Wheaton Legacy would one day become.
When their playing careers came to an end, they both had the same question: What now?
For as long as they could remember, soccer had always meant competing, training, and preparing to play. Coaching and mentoring young athletes in their hometown wasnt something they had ever imagined as a future.
During his time at Wheaton College, Dan began coaching at a local soccer club, Wheaton United. That experience changed everything and opened up a new perspective on the game. It was there that he discovered a new love for soccer not as a player, but as a coach and mentor. He saw firsthand the impact that intentional coaching, belief, and guidance could have on young athletes. What started as a small side project slowly turned into something bigger, and Wheaton Legacy began to take shape.
When Dan and Logan came together to talk about building something of their own, it was an easy decision. They werent interested in just running training sessions. They wanted to create the environment they wished they had growing up a place where young athletes could be developed intentionally, mentored personally, and supported both on and off the field.
Wheaton Legacy isnt just about soccer.
Its about giving back to the kids who are doing the same thing we once did training in the summers, chasing their dreams, and believing that something bigger is possible.
